  • Free Shipping is not applying to “free shipping class” which we have set up. It simply adds an extra Shipping Choice at the bottom of the cart page, and ignores the true set up of trying to apply free shipping ONLY to products that are in the cart with the free shipping class. So customers have to actually CHOOSE Free Shipping which is not intuitive or professional and makes the checkout function very clunky and unreliable. Getting your customers to trust you is priority, and adding this as a CHOICE at the bottom, rather than simply applying it automatically is not useful in any way.

    Sorry for the negative review, I just wanted to share so that others don’t waste their valuable time like I did.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the rating, though I’m not fully agreeing with you 😉 I’ll elaborate on this below.

    First I do want to note is that the plugin is meant to allow free shipping for the entire order, I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for as you do mention only products with a certain class, but later something contradictory.

    As this plugin simply doesn’t know how your shipping cost is setup, it can’t do partial free shipping by default, though there are some other methods of accomplishing this (I wrote about that here: http://jeroensormani.com/apply-free-shipping-for-specific-products-in-woocommerce/)

    Re the choice: there’s a setting on the overview page: ‘hide other shipping when free is available’. This will ensure that there’s no other option and the free option is automatically applied. It sounds like this is what you’re looking for.

    Can I ask you to elaborate on what you don’t think is advanced about the plugin? I based that on the conditional logic allowing one to setup (about) any scenario they’d want.
