Support » Plugin: GDPR Cookie Compliance (CCPA ready) » Not quite the finished article

I have selected the ability to add the Google Analytics script, but the script appears even if the 3rd Party Cookies selection is disabled.

I have tried this on various browsers, all caches cleared. There is no other plugin adding the Google Analytics Script. Yet even with 3rd Party Cookies disabled, the Google Analytics script still runs.

Plus on the Settings page of the pop-up, the Strictly Necessary Cookies page shows the home page of the website. But it doesn’t fit the space allowed. The result is that no-one will know they need to scroll down the page to find the enable button.

Two major issues show this plugin is a fantastic idea, but doesn’t appear to have been tested properly.

When can I expect these issues to be dealt with? In the meantime what do you suggest?

    Hi grahamjones,

Thanks for using our plugins, I’ve checked the plugin, and I can confirm the scripts defined in the plugins page will be added only if this is enabled by the user in the front-end. Could you please check if there is no hardcoded scripts added to your code (GA script added to <head>, etc). These are not managed by this GDPR plugin, you have to remove it or ask a developer to do so. You can try to disable this plugin, and check if the GA script is still loaded.
The Strictly Necessary Cookies tab fix will be included in the next update.

As I said in my first message – there is nothing else loading the GA script. It is not hardcoded either. It can only be added by your plugin. So there is an error somewhere.

In the meantime, sadly for you, I have found another plugin that does the job properly.
