Support » Plugin: Genesis Responsive Slider » Not pulling based on ID

  • I’ve tried to find a basic FAQ or help on the slider and posted in WP help and didn’t get any. It says it can pull by including or excluding post IDs, that way it’s not just showing the same photo for 2 weeks. But when I select to include the post IDs it does nothing. When I set “exclude” by post ID — it deletes the entire slider.

There must be a way for the slider to show what I want it to show rather than just pulling everything or nothing.

  • I would suggest creating a more detailed FAQ on the sliders functions since I can’t get them to work. I love this slider and just want to be able to use it to feature certain posts by any means necessary.

Do the posts you identified to include by ID have featured images?

Yes they have featured images. The only thing I can do right now is play around with the dates.

Are you running a caching plugin?

I am not sure, I might be.

I’m having a similar problem. It seems to be impossible to get the slides to display in the order I want. Genesis responsive slider seems to have a mind of its own. For a while I thought it was displaying the slides in reverse order and tried renumbering the slides backwards as a workaround, but now it seems to have gone random. I’m sure there must be some logic to it but Genesis certainly does not make it easy or intuitive. Quite the opposite in fact.
