First of all I am a very big fan of NextGEN.
I have a question about in theme installation.
I would like to know how I can install the NextGEN directly into my theme and not as an plugin.

This is not just a simple upload to my theme-folder.

I am currently creating a theme for one of my clients who wants to have a WordPress CMS for his website with a way to view images.
So I told him to use NextGEN.
The client doesn't want me to have plugins. So I need to find a way to install the plugin directly into my theme

Can anybody assist me in this?

This is probably not a great idea.

Even if you could somehow integrate it with a theme, it would be a nightmare to update.

Is there any particular reason that they don't want plugins?

That seems like a pretty unreasonable request when it comes to WordPress sites.

Plugins are what makes WordPress great!

If someone is dead set on "no plugins" WordPress does have a Media Library and basic gallery functionality.

Yeah I know, but the client wants it. I adviced him not to.

Can you tell me the basics how to or what needs to be done.
I have never done this before so I don't really know how to do this.
