# Not getting comment notifications

 * I’m not getting email notification when people leave comments. I’m using the 
   Akismet plugin.
 * I have checked the two boxes after “Email me whenever.” The email addresses under
   Users > Email and Settings > Email Address are the same.
 * I’ve tested my email address and checked the spam folder.
 * Any ideas?

 * Deactivate all plugins and see if any plugin is causing trouble.
 * It is worth to try this plugin [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/)
 * Also check your functions.php file whether wp_notify_postauthor() or wp_mail()
   function is defined…
