  • I like using this, but it needs to grow to earn 5 stars. 5 stars is not just doing what you do without error. It is keeping up with growth, they need to start making it interactive as others have or are doing to get that far. Let us put in a MYSQL connection for two way updates, nothing complex. The plugin though, for those interested only in basic static tables does very very well, nice job, but it is frustrating to grow and not have some of the nice plugins grow with you.

    Hello, @al9000nj
Thank you so much for your feedback.
    We welcome every feedback.
We would be grateful if you would give an idea how to make plugin better.
What features do you need most?
Perhaps you still have any difficulties with the plugin?

Sure, I appreciate the ability to do so. Your plugin is really good, but what we seem to need more and more is interfacing with our MYSQL database. So far we have engaged WPDATATABLES, FORM-MAKER, and CALC FORM FIELDS (CFF) plugins and they all do a good job with MYSQL two way communication, but they have their faults. The faults are also with their basic design in smaller pieces. What I would think is that a plugin like yours could have a good shot at doing what they do with MYSQL and maybe doing things right end-to-end.

For example, Form-Maker we can insert from form to database, but they lack the ability to filter what is sent by user and they really blew the UPDATE query portion. They are trying to fix the former now. WPDATATABLES has a great two way communication between table and database. They too have some limitations in their code, their design is ok, but they have hard to find issues. Mostly, they have drop down CSS issues with the themes or so it is assumed.

So if you can just do the basic connection setup that we can drive to use with the tables and do not have to use MYSQL Views or these strange oddities like WPDATA, then you may be on a path for a robust plugin.

This has been a tough campaign to find a MS-Access like solution with Forms and Tables. There are apps outside WP like AirTable and Zoho, but it is like bringing up a large cannon to do the job of a cap pistol. Many bells and whistles and we pay for MYSQL and WP already.

Let me know if you like more detail.

    Hello, @al9000nj
We need more details. You write that other plugins have the opportunity to interact with the MySQL Database.
We also have this opportunity – DATABASE SOURCE feature.
Please specify in detail what should be implemented. Perhaps you have examples?
This would help us a lot in understanding what should be improved in our plugin.
