i selected “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers”
It can take a while (a week or more) to get a new site indexed in Google.
I’m not sure I dare ask for your URL… 😉
Take a look at your server log files that Googlebot has visited.
If not, double check you haven’t got a robots.txt file blocking it from being crawled, ie:
http://www.example.com/robots.txt
Sign up for a Google Webmaster Tools account. Verify your site and submit a sitemap (there’s a few sitemaps plugins that’ll generate one for you each time you post).
Get some links from other sites.
And as mentioned above, most importantly – be patient!!
My blog finally appeared on google but the description is different it just says:
“Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! Subscribe to RSS Feed. © 2009 We Love Asian Men. All Rights Reserved. …”
It’s best to block search engines (using the dashboard privacy settings) until you get some posts up so that you don’t get the default “Welcome to WordPress” post indexed. With some new posts, this description should go away.
