Squirrly SEO is not very intuitive. While it aims to provide simple, one-click solutions, the actual experience is confusing and difficult to follow. The options are unclear, and navigating often means opening multiple windows with little guidance on how to get back to where you started.

As a professional SEO, I had hoped this might be a tool I could recommend to clients for basic SEO tasks. Instead, I was lost within the first 15 minutes, unsure what the plugin was doing or why. Standard SEO terms are renamed in an attempt to simplify them for beginners, but this only adds confusion.

I’ve owned the Pro edition for years, checking back every six months to see if it has improved, but the same problems remain. Essential tools are buried under layers of renamed features, requiring multiple clicks to access. The user experience is clunky, and making it work requires multiple connections.

I’m baffled by the number of five-star reviews. In my experience, Squirrly SEO is convoluted, unclear, disorganized, and frustrating to use. I’m giving it two stars only because it has managed to stay in business for more than five years.
