• This plugin can be modified to fit any region and requirement. In the scheme of fitting into everything, it can take a little bit of manual work, but the team behind the plugin does really do everything in their power to make sure that the plugin works. As a customer and paying customer of their agency services, I can for sure say that they offer the support needed and do so within a very timely matter. Thanks for being there for us team, and helping us out whenever needed!

    Hi @wstom,

I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with Complianz.

The Free Complianz plugin allows users to comply with one of the mentioned regions: European Union, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil or South Africa. The Premium plugin allows configuration for all regions together.

We would be interested to hear why you feel that Complianz does not comply with privacy legislation within these regions.

We greatly value any feedback you are able to provide. Also, we’re happy to help you to configure Complianz for your desired region(s).

    Kind regards,
    Leon – Complianz

Hi, we are on the paid one, so it’s even worse. Paying 355€ to not receive urgent support when our customer needs it, and not to receive a refund because you have to configure the plugin yourself to fit Norway in example. Not good.

And we just received a test from another GDPR company stating that you are selling something that does not work.

Your plugin does in fact not have only neccessary cookies in the neccessary tab, and they are not turned off the way they should.

So yes, it is not compliant and it should be illegal to say that you are. GDPR is no joke and can harm our clients if they are not fully compliant.

    Hi @wstom,

Thank you for your fast response. I managed to track down your email thread with my colleague Jarno. I can see that he replied on 29-03-2022 15:14 (one hour after your support inquiry). You then emailed us stating that you did not receive any response. My colleague then responded within 22 minutes, to five email addresses from your organization, hoping that we could reach you.

As this concerns the Premium plugin, unfortunately we are not allowed to help you on the wordpress.org forums.

I have just forwarded both the replies from my colleague using another email address. It contains a step-by-step explanation on how to resolve your questions. Please could you confirm here if you received the email?

I hope that we’re able to quickly resolve the matter!

    Kind regards,
    Leon

    Hi,

You are both wrong and correct, but your email support is not really answering our questions, therefore we sent in that we need a response.

    Quote:

This means that we are not within the laws of Norway on any sites we’ve installed this.

Are you saying that we would have to manually change this on every site this plugin is installed?

If that is the case and you cannot fix this for us, we would have to find another supplier.

Then we would ask for a refund and find someone who can offer a plugin that does comply with the governing laws of the country.`

Quote from the other GDPR company stated that you are not even COMPLIANT in Europe.

The following requirements in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive 2009/136/EC (ePR) have been tested:

bildePrior consent on other than strictly necessary cookies (ePR)
bildePrior consent on personal data (GDPR)

I’m worries that you are allowed to sell this as a premium product.

    Thanks.

    Hi @wstom,

As my colleague explained per email, there are a few modifications needed to comply with privacy legislation. Complianz allows you to comply, but as you are loading tracking scripts via Tag Manager, some manual configuration is needed. As described in the email and our support documentation, you will need to use the Complianz custom events to load these scripts after consent.

“This means that we are not within the laws of Norway on any sites we’ve installed this.”
-> currently your site is not compliant, but I see no reason to believe that it won’t be compliant after you followed the steps described by my colleague.

“Are you saying that we would have to manually change this on every site this plugin is installed?”
-> Complianz settings can be easily exported and imported across your installations. However, most of the described modifications are to be configured in Google Tag Manager. So unfortunately, yes this is needed per site/tag manager account.

Lastly I’d like to add that you are referring to a competitor’s compliance scan. Please bear in mind that there are plenty reasons to question the results these scans present.

I hope that we can continue the conversation via the email thread or on the support forums. We strive to help you the best we can and hope that you will reconsider your review once you have followed the steps mentioned per email.

    Kind regards,
    Leon

    Hi @wstom,

Last Friday I have forwarded all required instructions to finish your configuration. While I see that you are still using Complianz on your site(s), I see that the plugin is not configured correctly yet).

It is really as easy as implementing your Facebook Pixel script via the script center (or Tag Manager) and using the Complianz custom events to allow Tag Manager to fire scripts based on consent level.

We’d like to help you to get this issue resolved. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.

    Kind regards,
    Leon
