    Hello,

We’ve just migrated our podcast to your plugin and found a issue that took me 3 or 4 ours to resolve.

Whenever length in seconds or MB is not entered in an episode, our site loaded 10 to 30 seconds or not loaded at all. I assume the plugin tries to find the length of a file and that takes everything down.

Either optimise this process or make the fields for length or MB obligatory when posting.

I cannot show you a link where it is reproduced, as it slowed down or whole site and we went back 50 episodes to enter length manually.

    This happened in version 1.19.6

    Cheers,
    Elenko

    Hi Elenko,

This is quite interesting. The file size is typically something that’s pulled only by feed readers, and aside from being displayed as meta data in the feed itself, and generally not on podcast pages.

If you’re able to recreate this again even on a sample post we would love to take a closer look at this so we can see how it can be resolved for you.

Here it is. I was able to replicate on the latest version of the plugin.

I’ve removed the data from an old post and it loads in about 10 seconds:

Compare load time to a new one where the data is present:

Ok great, thank you for this. We’ll be taking a look at this shortly and will let you know once we have resolution for this.
