Hi 🙂

Capabilities > new role > new_name_of_role > selecting nothing > save changes

Users > add new > new_name_of_user > role > new_name_of_role > add new user

Users > new_name_of_user > roles column > post type > all > read > block > selected Categories and sub-Categories > All > select all > add selected

Testing logging in new_name_of_user > ok

Testing logging in admin > posts > categories > displaying categories > not displaying subcategories

Mensagem de erro: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home1/plitco64/resumo.plit.com.br/wp-content/plugins/publishpress/vendor/composer/../../defines-free-plugin-path.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/share/pear’)

I don’t know but should there be that colon in the include_path? Maybe it is that.

@antonio24073 The E_COMPILE_ERROR is from the PublishPress plugin code, not PublishPress Permissions. I’ve mentioned it to our lead PublishPress developer.

As for the Category permissions, is your goal to have that user blocked from reading content from any category, yet able to manage categories? There must be some other steps in your setup, otherwise that user would not have any capabilities to see admin > posts > categories or even access the admin dashboard.

read above:
new_name_of_user > ok > blocked (blocked to read, edit, manage and delete all categories and sub categories) > it’s ok

but admin blocked to subcategories only (not categories) in admin dashboard.

I delete a category and return to normal. kkkk

I think it was not clear that the first message is a step by step button by button, which is why you didn’t understand.

@antonio24073 Permissions 3.3.10, which was just released, includes a fix for incomplete listings on the Categories screen. It only happened under some conditions and may not relate to your issue, but please give it a try.

I’m the lead PublishPress developer and I was checking the E_COMPILE_ERROR error you reported. I can’t replicate the issue, but I see you are using an older version of the plugin.

Please, could you try again updating the PublishPress plugin to v3.0.1?

Please, could you check if the file “/home1/plitco64/resumo.plit.com.br/wp-content/plugins/publishpress/defines-free-plugin-path.php” exists after the plugin is installed?
