Support » Plugin: Enable Media Replace » Not compatible with webp files generated from SG Optimizer

Webp files (generated from SG Optimizer) aren’t updated if I replace an image using your plugin. I asked to the assistance of SiteGround and they said me “the plugin not following WP coding standards thus not triggering the optimization”.
Is there some workaround to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Hi @mickhele!

Enable Media Replace is not responsible for creating WebP files. The plugin only replaces a file with the new one. Anything else that happens afterwards (like creating WebP files) is SG Optimizer’s job.

If SiteGround can provide more information about what WP coding standars our plugin is not following, we’ll be happy to clarify whatever you need 🙂

I would also like to recommend you to switch from SG Optimizer’s image optimization to ShortPixel Image Optimizer, a much better plugin to optimize your files (and create WebP files). It also integrates nicely with Enable Media Replace.

    Cheers!
