    Hi there,

Thanks for posting on the forum.

I have tested the latest version of Custom Sidebars plugin on WordPress 4.1 single site and found it’s working fine.

Could you please tell me a bit specifically what’s the issue you are having with WordPress 4.1 so that i can help you to resolve it?

You can also share the screenshots of the issue for better describing it.

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, http://imgur.com/ or other image service. 🙂

    Kind Regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

Untested with your version of WordPress 4.1 this type of error is coming .
if i am using wordpress 4.0.1 its working super.

Having the same issue since I updated to 4.1. is_sidebar_active comes back as true for my first 4 sidebars and gets assigned a widget even when no widget was been assigned to those sidebars… and therefore that sidebar shows up on my page.

    Please see screenshots here:

I have added an echo function to my sidebar.php file to show how it outputs to true even when no sidebar has been assigned.

This problem does not exist in wordpress 4.0.1.

    Hi @sloflizzle,

Thank you for your detailed reply.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my test site as you have described it but i couldn’t.

Could you please try unsetting all the settings from sidebar metabox of the page and from “Sidebar Location” pop up of all custom sidebars?

Is it working fine if you uncheck the sidebar option “Allow this sidebar to be replaced” from all sidebars?

    Regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

There is something definitely funky with the plug in. It is actually hanging my site.

I downloaded it this morning looking to replace what I was using, but I can’t get it to work at all.

    Hi Pastor,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having but the plugin is working fine on my test site.

To help keep support tickets separate, could you please open a new thread for your new question here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-sidebars so that we can help you specifically to make it work for you.

As per the Forum Welcome, you should post your own topic.

This helps to prevent any confusion (for us) as I’m sure you understand. Also this might help other members looking for a similar answer. 🙂

We would be more than happy to help you on your new thread 🙂

    Thanks,
    Vinod Dalvi
