Not broadcasting for Facebook

    I just installed version 2.8 of this plugin in WordPress 3.5.1. I connected my Twitter and Facebook accounts to it with no issues. I disabled the plugin’s CSS so it would use my theme’s CSS.

    When I went to an old post and clicked on “Broadcast”, I noticed some issues. It won’t broadcast to Facebook! I can select Twitter alone and it will get the job done; however, if I select either my Facebook business page or my personal page, I either get a server 500 error or simply a blank page.

    Has anybody else encountered a similar issue? I went through the forum, but couldn’t find a problem that was similar to mine.

    Same Problem here. Error message:

    (Error validating access token: Session has expired at unix time 1361534626. The current unix time is 1362912557.)

    I send them a Tweet, maybe they will fix is quickly.

    I didn’t see anything about unix time in firebug or the debug file. If your problem is related to unix time, I think I saw other threads where that was discussed. At least the Twitter broadcasting works.

    I decided to check my php error logs in my cpanel and noticed there was an on and off error coming from a function in functions.php that placed Jetpack’s share buttons at the top of the post. I updated this function to a more recent version and this fixed my issue.

    I would recommend that anyone having this problem check their php error logs; it might give you a clue.
