Not Available Message
-
Hi
I am having all sorts of problems with the plugin at the moment. I have redirected the login page and when I enter the new page title, it redirects to the /wp-admin page but then does not open. It only gives me a
Not Available
message on a white banner. I have to disable the plugin to get access and as soon as I re-enable it the same thing occurs.
What is causing this please?
Geoff

Hi again,
I have a top level site and subdomains. AIOWPS was on one of the subdomains (oldcognacdistillery.eu) and for some reason the htaccess file was populated with a long list of redirects which were applied at the top level domain (mbdnet.net) through my control panel.
These redirects were taking ALL public domains and redirecting based on the included text and I think that was what was causing the problem
I have disabled the htaccess file for now and the redirects have disappeared from my control panel.
Probably something I have done rather than a problem with your plugin but can I post the file for you to look at to confirm what it is and how I managed to do it (as I would like to undo it and continue using the plugin if possible).
Thanks
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
Probably something I have done rather than a problem with your plugin but can I post the file for you to look at to confirm what it is and how I managed to do it
Are you saying with your custom setup you have multiple .htaccess files?
Support for custom setups may be slightly out of scope for this forum, but perhaps your top-level .htaccess rules don’t know about the fact that you have renamed your login-page for your subdomain and they are trying to redirect to “wp-admin”?Hi and thanks for the response.
I have a TLD on a shared server service (GoDaddy) that has an htaccess file. It is not a public website (mbdnet.net).
I have several subdomains below it that are publicised under their own domain names such as oldcognacdistillery.eu that are subdomains (oldcognacdistillery.mbdnet.net).
There is a top level htaccess file which I assumed just applied to mbdnet.net.
In the public_html folder there are the files for all the subdomain websites each in its own directory and within these directories is an htaccess file for each site.
I must have set up something in the AOIWPS plugin on one of the subdomains that actually reflected directly in the top level domain for all my sites, effectively blanking them off. I do not understand why this has happened as I thought the htaccess file should only affect the directory (and domain) in which it sits?
Is there a special way to use the plugin in these circumstances? It is not a “Custom” setup, I think it is the sort of set up that a lot of your customers will have.
Again, if you want to see the redirects (they did not mean a lot to me) I can post them either here or on one of the pages of my sites for you.
I have had to rename the htaccess file causing the problem in order to remove the redirects from the top level and get access to all the other sites. So that site is not currently protected. What part of AIOWPS would insert redirections to the htaccess file? If i know I can switch it off and use the rest of the plugin.
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
Again, if you want to see the redirects (they did not mean a lot to me) I can post them either here or on one of the pages of my sites for you.
Yes I would like to see those redirect rules in the .htaccess file you say are causing this issue for you.
Hi
Sorry for the delay I have just been busy. Here is the entire .htaccess file that the site ended up with. I notice that the https redirect and declarations at the beginning of the file have also disappeared.

*****I am again having problems with the Not Available message at uk.boutiquefrenchwine.com which is really frustrating. The only way to overcome it is use ftp. I really need to know what is causing this so I can disable it.
I have noticed that when I am locked out and try to log back in it says the site is not secure even though it has an ssl certificate. Is there a way to show you the screenshot?

I just restarted the machine following an update and it has let me back into the site so it is possible it is a caching issue? I know that safari is notorious for these.
G
I have switched off the forced logout for the moment to see if that is the problem.
