We understand that expectations for Checkout Blocks functionality can be higher; however, it’s important to highlight certain limitations that stem directly from WooCommerce itself. As of now, WooCommerce Checkout Blocks do not allow editing of existing (default) fields in the “Billing Address” or “Shipping Address” sections – these sections are treated as single blocks.
At the time we developed our plugin, WooCommerce also did not provide tools to fully manipulate existing fields within these sections. Our plugin operates within these same limitations – it enables adding new fields at the end of the sections, improving the checkout experience within the boundaries WooCommerce currently offers.
We realize this may not be a perfect solution, but we’re committed to enhancing functionality wherever possible and extending the capabilities of Checkout Blocks to better meet user needs. WooCommerce continues to develop its checkout blocks, and we hope that in the future, more flexibility will be available, allowing us to improve the plugin even further!
