Support » Plugin: MapPress Maps for WordPress » Not all Locations showing up map & POI list

  • Resolved markarenz

There are 9 locations listed. However, there are 11 locations in the system with the status of “published.” One of them, for Decatur, IL, will not show up on the map or POI list.

I did some testing, changing the address, stripping out anything that could constitute gremlin or unescaped characters. Nothing changed. Copying an existing item does not result in a new location on the front-end. The same 9 locations appear.

We set the site up on a staging server and made sure the MapPress plugin is up to date. Is there any reason why it would only show 9 elements?

    Shortcode in question:
    [mashup poiList=true query=”post_type=locations” width=”100%” mashupTitle=”post” mashupClick=”post”]

We ran tests un-publishing some of the working locations and found that only 8 displayed, so clearly it’s not a hard limit of 9 items. Any advice?

  • Any update on this? I am having the same issue, however, only 11 out of the 15 locations are showing up.

To (partially) answer your question: there is no limit on the number of locations. I can’t say why they’re not displaying, but perhaps WP is not finding them using the given query. Two things to try:

    1. Use [mashup query=”all”] to confirm the locations show up.
    2. Deactivate ALL other plugins and switch to a standard theme (for a moment) to determine if there’s other code modifying the query.
