Hello. I’ve setup my feed however on the Category Mapping step where you pair your categories with the google category ids, not all of my categories are showing.

I can see a list of about 20 or so of my categories but I have many more categories than this.

Also, to confirm, the categories IDs are the same for google as they are for Facebook / Instagram. I am creating a facebook feed and got the warning “These fields have missing information google_product_category”.

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. With regards to your comments and questions:

–> Yes, Facebook/Instagram is using Google’s category taxomomy. Make sure you map all your WooCommerce categories to Google’s categories.

–> The plugin should definitely show all active categories in WooCommerce, even when there are no products linked to those categories. Are you perhaps using a 3th party plugin that does things to the WooCommerce categories?

    Thanks.

Not using anything special for categories. I am doing the mapping to an existing feed by coming back and editing the category feed. Does that make a difference?

I also noticed when you type the category that the ajax style reponse appears at the top of the page and not near the box you are typing in. Perhaps a JS issue?

–> Yes there is an issue with the external jQuery library we are using for this. We are kind of waiting for them to come up with a patch for this unfortunately.

–> Yes that should be fine. Can you make a screenshot of the categories you have on your WooCommerce category page and one that are being shown in our plugin so we can try to reproduce the issue at hand?

Thank you. I will wait for the Jquery patch.

My mistake – all the categories are there. I did not realise the client had removed many of the categories so there was actual a correct match. Thanks for the prompt response!

    Perfect, thanks for the heads-up
