I have the Testimonials plugin installed on the above site where I have created nine categories. For simplicity I have named the categories “one” through to “nine” On seven of the categories it works very well but on “four” and “nine” it produces a narrow white line and nothing else as you will see on the above page.

This is the code for category “four”:

    [bne_testimonials limit=”20″ order=”desc” orderby=”date” category=”four” message_required=”false” layout=”slider” theme=”default” arrangement=”1″ alignment=”left” image_style=”square” name=”true” image=”true” tagline=”true” website=”false” rating=”true” readmore=”true” readmore_limit=”250″ readmore_text=”Read More” readless_text=”Read Less” author_bg_color=”#4e8abf” rating_color=”#eded00″ nav=”false” arrows=”false” pause=”true” smooth=”true” animation=”slide” animation_speed=”1000″ speed=”5000″ schema=”true” schema_type=”LocalBusiness” schema_name=”Website Design” schema_image=”https://cwd.castonwebdesigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Logo-CWD-Roundell.png”%5D

The shortcode I’m using is [bne_testimonials custom=”549″] but the same problem exists when using the full code.

Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.

The slider is failing due to a JS error of the readmore script. Your main domain website has that same page setup and the slider works there but with the readmore disabled.

I wonder if there is some kind of html tags happening within those two reviews that I’m not seeing on the frontend.

Anything different with a working category from this one?

Certainly not intentionally different. Here for comparison are two that work perfectly.

    [bne_testimonials limit=”50″ order=”desc” orderby=”rand” category=”three” rating_min=”5″ message_required=”false” layout=”slider” theme=”default” arrangement=”1″ alignment=”left” image_style=”square” name=”true” image=”true” tagline=”true” website=”false” rating=”true” readmore=”true” readmore_limit=”250″ readmore_text=”Read More” readless_text=”Read Less” author_bg_color=”#7a9cbf” rating_color=”#eded00″ nav=”false” arrows=”false” pause=”true” smooth=”false” animation=”slide” animation_speed=”1000″ speed=”4000″ schema=”true” schema_type=”LocalBusiness” schema_name=”Website Design” schema_image=”https://cwd.castonwebdesigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/CWD-Logo-400-x400.jpg”%5D

    [bne_testimonials limit=”20″ order=”desc” orderby=”date” category=”five” message_required=”false” layout=”slider” theme=”default” arrangement=”1″ alignment=”left” image_style=”square” name=”true” image=”true” tagline=”true” website=”false” rating=”true” readmore=”true” readmore_limit=”250″ readmore_text=”Read More” readless_text=”Read Less” author_bg_color=”#6595bf” author_color=”#ffffff” nav=”false” arrows=”false” pause=”true” smooth=”true” animation=”slide” animation_speed=”1000″ speed=”5000″ schema=”true” schema_type=”LocalBusiness” schema_name=”Website Design” schema_image=”https://cwd.castonwebdesigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Logo-CWD-Roundell.png”%5D

Not sure if this helps or not but just created another category for use on my Customer Reviews page and note that it works if I choose “list” but not if I choose “Slider” or “Masonry Grid”.

The list would, of course, work since it doesn’t require a script. Can you provide a login and I’ll take a look. You can send it to me at my website here. I’m thinking there is some lingering text/html character in the review text. Because if one category works and the other doesn’t then the text would be the only difference.

Resolved thank you. Your thought that there might be some lingering html in the review text was absolutely correct. I found three reviews which on examination had unnecessary code transferred in when copying across. Now tidied up and all is working well.

Thank you for the prompt response and accurate diagnosis.
