• Hello!

I’m a new user of WP. I’ve just started a new Blog to discuss C/C++ programming issues with source code demonstration. I thought WP will be a suitable system for me; but I’m really frustrated by one thing … “WP removes all blank spaces ( ) from my HTML.”

I really need to preserve those because then the code formatting goes wrong. I want the text to appear with correct indenting between { and } in code. I tried PRE tags but no luck! Right now, I’m using BLOCKQUOTE but it really becomes too much of work for me to create even a smallest code snippet.

I don’t want to use any Syntax colouring plug-in either because not a single one is near to what I have already developed in Visual Basic 6.0 programming language. It’s my stand-alone Desktop EXE application (Windows OS) and I want to use the same.

Personally, I don’t want WP to remove those blank space characters from my HTML coloured code! Any work-around for this?

Please help to figure-out a solution for this issue. Also, I want a better Editor for writing my POSTS and PAGES. I read that WP comes with TinyMCE, but the Editor as shown on TinyMCE website is far advanced than the one I get to see in WP. Am I missing anything? How can I get my WP editor to look and function with more advanced features, such as Table, Special Symbols, PRE, TT tags and of course preserving Blank Space character at any cost!!!

Please help me to figure out these things … I will be very thankful to you.

    Regards,

    Ruturaj.
