  • Hi there creoadmin,

I’ve been doing some testing with the form on your site and thus far haven’t been able to get to the bottom of what’s going on there. For some reason the text is not visible at all but I was able to successfully type in an address (invisible still) and receive a success message upon submitting the form.

In order for me to continue testing, could you tell me if the two JavaScript items (Use Javascript Support? and Use Javascript DatePicker?) under “List Options” on the plugin settings page are checked or unchecked? I suspect that there’s some element of the plugin scripts and/or CSS which is conflicting with other elements on the site causing some weird behavior, so I’m working on pin-pointing that. Disabling those options if they are currently enabled may do the trick.

I look forward to hearing back so that I can continue to look into this for you.

I have the same problem. The form works on Safari and Chrome but the text is invisible on Firefox and IE. I found the Javascript DatePicker but it wasn’t checked. I checked it and tried it with that but nothing changed so I’ve unchecked it again. The website is: http://www.cormanconsulting.es
Hope you can help. It’s been driving me crazy.

    Thank you!
    Gillian

    Hi there Gillian,

I took a look at your site http://www.cormanconsulting.es and it looks like the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin is installed in your WP site, but the form widgets visible on the page (in the sidebar) appear to all be a different plugin. It looks like it’s the YIKES form, which connects to MailChimp via API key: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yikes-inc-easy-mailchimp-extender/

Unfortunately I’m only able to troubleshoot the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin in this forum, so I’d recommend trying out the support forum for the specific plugin currently in place in your site.

Thank you, Kath. I didn’t put the site together so didn’t realise. You are right, it was Yikes and I’ve just checked their forum and they say they’ll be releasing a fix for this problem soon.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
    Gillian
