# Not able to select database…

 * Hi i get the error below….
    “We were able to connect to the database server (
   which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the xxxxxx
   database.”
 * been trying various forums to resolve the issue but driving me nuts.
 * Have re-installed latest version of WP with no joy.
 * Any help gratefully received,

 * check that the `define('DB_NAME', 'YOURDATABASE');`, in wp-config.php is correct.

 * yep… check. They’re working on it. Just thought I’d look in here to see if any
   gurus had any better ideas 🙂

 * My guess is that something is amiss on your hosts’ MySQL server.

 * Cheers… it’s nuts, as I set up another site with them last week… no problem!!!!
