Not able to remove wordpress | WordPress.org

hi,

my site is

http://www.example.com/wordpress.
but i want it to be host as http://www.example.com.but it is not taking.

it is taking me to http://www.example.com/xampp. please advice.

I’m going to take a shot in the dark and say that you have a folder in your c:\xampp\htdocs\ folder called WordPress, correct?

Hi asitpanda,

If your wordpress installation is, as Jose hinted, in the “wordpress” folder, follow the instructions in Giving WordPress Its Own Directory. After that, you should be ok.
