Not able to install WordPress.
-
Env: Win 2008
IIS7Hi,
I game php/mysql/wordpress a first try today and I’m not able to install wordpress, because of the following login error:
EXCEPTION: Microsoft.Web.Deployment.DeploymentClientServerException: The database ‘wordpress’ could not be created. —> MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)
I’m using web platform installer 2 and right when I select wordpress click next specify new website and login info the installation stops and tells me Access denied for a user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)
I became unhappy right away, as I’m used to software working at least during installation. I’m sure something stupid is missing, but have no idea what it is. I went to the support page and there are like 30 reasons why one can see this error so I gave up as there was no explanation why one would receive this error during install.
Maybe it’s the web platform installer 2 not installing correctly, but I’m not sure. Does anyone know why an error like that will show up during installation? Thanks in advance.
