Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
Let’s try to figure out this situation, you have some categories and those categories have items/products and when you are on a certain category page it is not filtering by categories filter?
If this is not what you mean please provide more detailed information, because right now it is a bit confusing.

What i mean is:
If i go to a product-category page ( https://theyellowpenguin.nl/product-category/knuffels/ ) it does not show “knuffels” in active filters.
most important for me on this website is “brand” filtering, what i do now is put the link in the menu with the filtering ( https://theyellowpenguin.nl/shop/?merk=akros ) then it does show the brand “akros” in the filtering, but i do mis the category description. is there a sollution? or do i need the pro version
if i go to the product category page i cannot filter brands ( i can but there are ofcourse no other brands on the category page of one single brand )

Here is your page with the filter – https://prnt.sc/a8099iGsqMxQ if you have a filter by categories and you are on the “knuffels” category page https://theyellowpenguin.nl/product-category/knuffels/ it will be chosen by default because you are on that page already it is showing only items from the “knuffels” categories. How do you want to make it different?
If you are on this category page https://theyellowpenguin.nl/product-category/knuffels/ and this category contains only items with this single brand – https://prnt.sc/Yxtx6CrhlPNj you will have only single one brand active, as there are no items with other brands in that category.
