Not able to do a post grid with just 1 post…?

I wanted to use Atomic Blocks – but alas, you cannot do a post grid that has only one “hero” post in one column – you have to have two columns. I’m very surprised. With the number of sites – Including mine – that use a big article for the first one, and then 2 or 3 column subsequent blocks, this makes Atomic Blocks unusable – unless I am missing something.

I know I can place one article in a different type of block, but I love the offset feature of the page and post grid – I don’t have to worry about changing anything as I add new posts.

Hopefully you can add this as a feature – A “hero” block that will just pull the first post from the designated category, with the ability for a large image.
