I’m not able to create a new role. I’ve tried creating a role from scratch and copying another role. I get a message: Error: Failed creating the new role.

Please help. Thanks.

We are having this issue as well. It is on both sites within our multisite. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Note that role names can only contain a-z, A-Z, 0-9, space and underscore. Names must be unique and entries longer than 40 characters will be truncated (possibly rendering them non-unique).

Can you confirm that role creation fails with any randomly chosen name you try?
