Support » Fixing WordPress » Not able to access my WordPress account after changing servers to reflect blueho

  • I am not able to login to my wordpress site. The url is [ redundant link removed ] and my username is [ Redacted, support is not offered via email, Skype, instant messenger, etc. ]. I was able to login a week or so ago. I am self-hosting through Bluehost now so I changed the nameservers in my domain registration details to reflect the bluehost’s nameservers.

Ever since then, when I type in my email address as the username, it says that username/email is invalid. How do I go about fixing this?
    Thank you!

    Best
    Shweta

  • Hello @shwesharan did you transfer your WordPress data before NS switch?

Please do not post your email address in public. Also if anyone contacted you from that post please reply back here so I can promptly ban then from this site.

Your site hasn’t been setup correctly. How was it installed?

    Okay thanks Jan.

So I purchased my domain name first but didn’t put anything on the WordPress website so there was no question of migrating content.

I then signed up on Bluehost and changed the nameservers to reflect bluehost’s, on Go Daddy (where I signed up for a domain name).

When I login to Bluehost, I can access my WordPress but not able to do it directly from WordPress. So I am confused. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!
