• I’m having a hard time searching for my answer because of confusion around the word “template”.

A template could be a part of a theme that provides a look and feel….

Or a template could be a starter post with some “enter your catalog item” or “which celebrity do you want to marry” fields half-populated.

I’m looking for a template of this latter type. Is there a place to store these HTML snippets such that I could say

New->Post (using template…) “bitching about parents”

Where there is ‘blurb’ text already there?

Or do I need to bust out the PHP book and consider coding one up 😉

    Steven

  • You could simply edit the quicktags.js file, and input what you want to see – then all that’s needed is for the poster to click the correct button.

If you’re using the wysiwyg, I don’t know if you can add more buttons to it.

If you don’t want to give your posters options, then you have to hack core code. I’m not even sure which file any more….
