It does not honor its name, because this plugin only sends you an email if there is a problem with cron execution, but it only does it if cron task is working!! So this tool does not allow you to check if cron task is running at desired interval or many other relevant information. Plus when you enter your email it will be shared with the developer. Pure garbage!

Hey thank you for your feedback. I’d love to hear what other relevant information you’d like to see about cron tasks. I’m always looking to improve the plugin. I would also like to correct you on a couple things:

    1. The plugin runs on every page-load and checks a saved variable from the database. If that variable is stale (over 24 hours old) it checks if wp cron can run. If that fails, it will send an email if you’ve entered an email. The whole process does not depend on wp cron working.
    2. The email address you enter is saved to your options table and mailed with your email services. The whole process uses standard WordPress functions storing and sending on your servers. None of that is sent to me, the developer.

If any of the above isn’t working for you please post it on the Support Threads and I will look into and try to resolve it.

Anyway, thanks for being a part of the 7 reviews this plugin has and drastically lowering the average based on false claims.
