# Nonfunctional View Counts

 * The plugin seems to no longer count post views and does not display any thumbnails
   in the widget. I’ve had the plugin installed for years.

 * I note you’re using autoptimize and am not sure if that is interfering. It shouldn’t
   as I use it on my site as well, but can you try a few things.
 * 1. Change the tracker type to Query variable
    2. Install Fast tracker – this 
   is an experimental tracker I use on some of my sites and then in tracker options

   3. Disable autoptimize temporarily and see if the counter works 4. Add top-10-
   tracker.min.js as an exception in Autooptimize on what scripts not to compress.

 * re. Autoptimize; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding`?
   ao_noptimize=1` to the URL.
 * if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration
   might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to
   exclude in [the AO FAQ](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/#faq).

 * Thanks for your reply. It seems to be working after going through each step and
   adding the exclusion for top-10-tracker.min.js. Thanks for your assistance
