Support » Installing WordPress » Non-zero exit status returned by script

  • Hello,
I have a hosting (with plusdominios) and only 1 domain, in which I’m having this problem.
When I try to install wordpress (any version) I still getting this error:

Non-zero exit status returned by script

    – I created a database already.
    – PHP is configured (5.3.3)
    – My site has SSL support.
    – I desactivated safe mode in PHP in order to install WP.

    I don’t know what’s going on.
    Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I suggest contacting your hosting provider and discussing the issue with them.

You do not meet minimum req’s

Hudson, how can I meet that minimum req’s? Help me please, tell me where i fail that req’s. Btw, in my wordpress installation says I need at least php 5.3, not 7.2.

t-p, thank you for your reply, but when I contacted my hosting their answer was this:

    Good afternoon

Our support is limited to problems on the server itself, DNS, FTP, mail, etc.
By default we do not support software from others.
The server has an excellent ping and equally uptime.
If you develop your applications you must have sufficient knowledge to develop and / or implement them.
If you want us to do this work for you, you must request a system intervention for the period of ONE HOUR (50,00€)
If you wish you can contract it from https://hosting.plusdominios.es/cart.php?a=add&pid=16
Receive a cordial greeting and remember that we are at your entire disposal
    for any type of consultation.

    Thank you for your trust

As you can see, they are not helping me at all. I have certain knowledge about WP, but very limited so I need help to fix this issue…
The problem I’m having right now is that when i try to enter my web I only get the test linux page. And when I tried to use wp before I kept getting the “forbidden” message. Now I am having the HTTP ERROR 500 because I uninstalled wp, and put the files into httdocs… and I want to keep going, do it right this time, but I don’t know how, so I stopped at that point and ask for help… I am very lost right now. I am 2 weeks trying to have WP well installed so far…

Please could you help me? 🙁

PS: Btw, is very unfair that my hosting offer a “1 click WP installation” and they forced me to install it on my own… They said in other email I had to do it with manual mode. Despite I bought a hosting plan that includes 1 click installation…

It is better to install it yourself anyway. What version of WordPress is their 1-click install?
