Non Widget Aware Theme

  • I am looking for someone with php experience who can make my Blog widget aware. I am using a Sony Spiderman 3 theme and it would be more flexible if someone coul make it widget aware.

I do not have tons of money to spend (have children in private school) and need someone who can do this easily and cheaply. Anyone who would like to know more or could help me please go to my Blog and leave a message. I have BBpress forums also. My site is located here and my foums here.

  • Try this:

    Widgetizing Themes

I managed to widgetize my themes with the information on there. It really isn’t that hard.

I could do this for you.

Do you have a link to where the theme can be downloaded?

yes, the theme can be downloaded right here. It is the very first template on the page. You can go to my blog to make sure you have the right one. If you could do this for me relatively inexpensive it would be great.

I saw that info as well but didn’t give it a close enough look. I will download a test theme and try it on there first. Thanks.

Well I got the theme to recognize widget’s by following the instructions above, but when I turn it on the sidebar looks terrible. I don’t have the knowledge of CSS to make it match the previous look. Can anyone help me with my stylesheet so the widgets make the sidebar look the same as it did before it became widget aware?

can you post the changes you made to your template up to this point?

Here is a topic where I did the same thing to a theme a while back:

I actually found someone who volunteered to do it for me. She just made the changes so I don’t know what she had to do but the changes were extensive because of the way the theme was written.
