 * This might be a bad idea but I figured it’s worth a shot…
 * I really like WPPA, being able to very finely customize the look and feel, and
in particular the front end upload capability.
 * I run a membership site, and we currently use a document library plugin which
does not quite meet our needs.
 * It occurred to me that it would be ideal to use WPPA for this purpose — to let
logged-in users upload documents to share via the front end, and to display these
in a gallery layout. However, it seems that I can’t upload non-image files to
   WPPA.
 * Is it possible you’d consider adding this functionality? I realize this is kind
of a long shot, so no worries if not.

 * In what file format would the documents be? And what should be shown? A dummy
image like ⌊audiostub.jpg⌉ for audio files without a photo, or …

 * In the mean time i did some research.
 * I can and will implement this for .pdf files.
 * _To make it work, it is required that your server has ImageMagick installed,
and that you know the location of the extern Imagick command file **convert**._
This will produce .jpg files that show the documents as images.
 * If you want your users to be able to download the original .pdf files, the filenames
should preferrably be ‘sanitized’ i.e. contain no funny characters and/or spaces,
but are valid filenames on all possible platforms. But this can also be done
   by wppa.
