Non ECommerce Product Display

Does anyone know of a theme or plugin that would allow products to be displayed in an e-commerce fashion with out the shopping cart. I have a client that would like to display 1-2 photos per product with the product description/details next to the images. In stead of having a check out option, it would be nice to have maybe an “I’m Interested” or “Get More Info” link and then the site admin would get an email with the product equerry. I have heard of custom post but am not that familiar and lack the WP savy to try. Any ideas on Themes or anyone that could help with custom post or plugins?
