    Hi @dradicke,

It seems you’re testing the AMP on non-amp testing tool. AMP is a new technology and still, some tools are not fully compatible with AMP. As you can see here that I’ve tested the URL which you shared in the GTMatrix tool ( Screenshot: http://take.ms/qPXSN ) it gives me the perfect score of AMP version.

    Here is the URL: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.radicke.com/1KEkUsJn

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you

Thanks for your answer! You are right, with GTmetrix it looks bit better.

However, if you use GTmetrix to test the non-AMP version, it still has less requests than the AMP-Version, is only 10% of the kb-size, and – according to GTmetrics – it is just as fast.
(Yes, the PageSpeed Score is a little bit better)

    – Is there any additional known (SEO) advantage for using AMP for cases like this?
(better caching? better handling by the Google bot and rendering agent?)

    – Or should I turn the case around and (for simple sites like this) ONLY have the AMP version? 1 version just breaks less often than 2 versions 😉

    Hi @dradicke,

    Coming to the SEO advantage:

On mobile devices, Google will check the website has AMP or not. If website or posts have AMP, it will prefer first priority to show the AMP pages/posts in Google SERP. And it will give better caching for mobile devices.

    And for another question:

Can you please select the Design 1 from the “Themes Selector” and check the GTmetrix result? Actually, based on the designs or AMP Themes CSS & HTML it will take time to load the AMP. Screenshot: https://take.ms/FxJOA

    Hope it helps.
