[Resolved] Nofollows in my posts

  • pipedragon72

    Hi everyone
    For some reason my posts have started to automatically include a rel=”nofollow” in the links. Does anyone know why that may have happened (I haven’t upgraded or anything; could it be an unrelated plugin?) and how to change the functions.php file or know of a plugin (which doesn’t crash wordpress like quite a few I’ve tried have and one which is specifically for posts NOT comments) that will stop this. I’ve manually added a dofollow but the nofollow is still there in the source code of a live page even when the html in the page post doesn’t have it in.
    Any ideas?

  • the problem might be in the theme you use.

    hmm, the theme is WP-Andreas09. will check out the files and see if can find anything.

    I’ve just added in:

    function remove_nofollow($string) {
    $string = str_ireplace(‘ rel=”nofollow”‘, ”, $string);
    return $string;
    add_filter(‘the_content’, ‘remove_nofollow’);

    to the functions file and it seems to be working; thanks for your reply.
