No Yoast with Categories or Custom Categories

    Hi,

    Thanks for the plugin!

    I am getting Yoast data back for all of the Posts and CPTs, but nothing from categories (/wp-json/wp/v2/categories) or Custom Categories /wp-json/wp/v2/project-categories

    Any ideas what the issue might be

    I am using Yoast 12.6.1 nd WP 5.2.1

    Hi @filmboy999

    Thank you for using our plugin.

    Your issue comes from the fact that we have not (yet) implemented Yoast meta for taxonomies, only for (custom) post types. We will investigate if we can add it to our plugin, but I cannot promise it will be implemented soon.

    Is there a way to pull the custom title and description set for Custom Post Type archive page set in Yoast SEO Settings?

    At this point we do not have an option to retrieve that data through our plugin. I have added it to our to-do list, but I cannot give you an estimation when it will be implemented.
