I just installed your plugin on my simple WP site and all seems OK.
However, it first reported that there was no htaccess file in wp-admin originally, and now reports
“Your wp-admin .htaccess file is NOT backed up either because you have not done a Backup yet, an .htaccess file did NOT already exist in your /wp-admin folder or because of a file copy error. Read the “Current Backed Up .htaccess Files Status Read Me” button for more specific information”

The BPS file is there now.
    Should I be doing something?

BPS has built-in Backup and Restore on the BPS Backup & Restore Tab page. You can backup your currently active htaccess files and also your Master htaccess files. The Blue Read Me help buttons on the BPS Backup & Restore page contain additional help info.

    Thanks for that.
I’ve just installed the update OK, and backed up that file so now everything is green.
