    Hi nosilver4u,

Which WebP Delivery method did you setup?

uhh, to be frank, I do not remember. Bulk perhaps?

Now I went to EWW Settings from the plugins page and found that under “WebP Delivery Method” the file was red.
Inserted the RewriteRule, checked .htaccess and it is there: # BEGIN EWWWIO and the rules.

By refreshing pages and searching fo .webp in the source code I still do no find any.

I will re-install our staging site again, so I’d appreciate your guidance on how to do it right.

    Many thanks in advance.

If the file was read, then you hadn’t setup anything. So adding the .htaccess is the right route to go, assuming your server is running Apache/Litespeed. If the image doesn’t turn green, or it gives an error, we can investigate that further.

You won’t find WebP in the source code with this method, you use the browser console to verify it, see the video on this page: https://docs.ewww.io/article/16-ewww-io-and-webp-images

That said, I do see WebP images on your site now when I check the dev console (network tab). So it looks like all is working!

    OK, thanks for the explanation.
I will start over and test.

Not sure why you would start over when it appears to be working, but I guess go ahead?

Well, I used Media Cleaner Pro to clean over 200MB image files before I started Bulk Optimize – it is on, working at the moment 🙂

Aha, very nice! Let me know if you run into any other questions.
