Hey there. Just discovered a new issue with the latest 3.3.1 version. I was trying out the private messaging feature, and with more than one private messages there is an X beside each to close it. However with just one private message, there is no way to close it to return back to the main channel. The channel also is not listed in the browser where the users are, so you can’t even return to the channel that way either. I did try to get a log report but nothing appears for the error log for this issue, and tried with different themes, no change. Clearing all caches server side and browser side also didn’t solve it. Using latest 6.5.4 WordPress, server running php 8.0

Edit: The one place I didn’t update to the 3.3 version, I updated it to 3.3.1 and its working perfectly (from 3.2 to 3.3.1 directly). The ones I did do the 3.3, and now 3.3.1 are the ones I am having trouble with. Couple of them are showing the no channel open error again.

Update, only solution I could find was to do backup of the css changes, do a complete uninstall of the plugin and reinstall it then add back in the extra css. Its working great again. Looking forward to the new PM feature. Nice extra feature to have. 🙂

    Hello @mandifaux

If you have only one public channel, which is “global” by default, it will not be listed in the browser. If you have to add more public channels: [wise-chat channel=”{A,B,C}”] then they will be listed.

Please take a look here about the “No channel open” message:

    Best regards
