• Basic Gutenberg block that lets you manually assemble other Gutenberg blocks into a slider.

There is a minor technical issue. I only see one of the two next/prev arrows, and that arrow overflows the page width by default when no padding or margin is applied to the slider.

The plugin is limited in scope to only allow creating slides manually. That mirrors the scope of the built-in suite of Gutenberg blocks nicely, but one dynamic feature I think would be appropriate is to load a configurable number of blog posts dynamically, optionally with filters applied.

The plugin author has been very quick to update the plugin, so this review may be outdated by the time you read it.

    Hi @azinfiro

Are you using the Gutenberg plugin? The Gutenberg plugin is a beta version that may have issues. Carousel block is tested with the stable Core version. When you use the standalone Gutenberg plugin, you’re accessing newer, experimental features that aren’t yet stable in Core. Please ensure you are using versions 17.8 – 18.5 for the latest WP 6.6.2.

I’m not using an experimental plugin version of Gutenberg. I’m just on a default installation of WordPress with the Block Editor, version 6.6.2 specifically.

@azinfiro I’ve just released Carousel Block version 1.0.15, which addresses the issue. Please update the plugin version and consider updating your rating if the carousel meets your expectations. Thank you!

Thank you, that fixed the issue. I can now add slides. I’ve updated the score and the review.

@azinfiro Thank you for updating the review! Adding a dynamic feature to load blog posts into the slides is something in the plan. As for the missing arrow, that’s not expected. It may be related to your theme. Please feel free to share a link to your web page and I will investigate.
