The app needs a cookie for the login button to work.
Maybe you’re blocking third party cookies? Or something else is blocking those. Does the login button changes to logout after clicking on it?
Thanks for getting back so quickly. As far as I’m aware I’m not blocking any cookies. I tried configuring this from my mobile phone and from my pc. Both were using chrome browser the pc has adblock plus enabled.
When I login I get a prompt asking me to log into dubberzsync the name of the app I have made. I then get the button change to logout but still doesn’t work.
I have created a second app for another Facebook related service on the website and that one works fine and is setup the same way.

My little howto:
http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?p=53053
Don’t forget step 3 mentioned (app domain)
I have already followed your guide previously i’m afraid. I have even since deleted my facebook app, recreated a new one and tried again.
I have the app set to have site url http://southwestdubberz.co.uk, mobile URL http://southwestdubberz.co.uk and then in the app domain i have southwestdubberz.co.uk
Still not working 🙁

Clicking the “update” button only imports events if you’re logged in.
If the facebook API gives an error, then something is blocking cookies (can be your browser itself, it is in the settings).
Otherwise you need to set the Update frequency to something else than “none” and wait for that time window to pass and see what happens then.
Ok, so i have gone into Internet Explorer, explicitly allowed ALL cookies, logged in and tried again and nothing.
I have just checked the app again and i can see hits attempting on the API.
I don’t get it 🙁
Is my events ID wrong maybe? But that doesn’t excuse the session error message.
