    Hello,
I have been using Yoast for some time now. Recently I encountered an issue where the “Keyword, SEO Score, Snippet, & Readability Score” were no longer available. I was finally told that issue was due to some compatibility issues with the version of WordPress I was using, but was informed the issue would be fixed when the new update was released. The new update was released, but the update was not pushed to me, and I now have checked, and the plugin is now “Incompatible with (my) version of WordPress.” What are my solutions?

Note: I can not immediately update my wordpress verison for another issue (maybe someone has tips on this one as well).

    HI @betteraqua,

It seems there might be something on your site or your web host that is blocking automatic updates, since you are having the same issue with WordPress (and possibly other plugins?).

You might first need to update WordPress and then check if the automatic updates work for the Yoast plugin. If not, you might need to contact your webhost for further assistance.

Please check the KB article located here, which provides further assistance, including instructions on how to manually update the plugin.

Please note that we recommend that your WordPress installation is also up to date, since the latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin might not work correctly with older versions of WordPress.

    Hi @marcanor

This plugin update issue is exclusive to Yoast, all other plugins are receiving updates as normal. That is why I assumed this was simply a compatibility issue with the WordPress version I currently use (4.8.1). If you believe it may be something else please let me know.

I’ve been putting off the manual update of the WordPress core. Once I do that I hope it will resolve this issue. If not I will come back for help.

    Hi @marcanor ,

I was finally able to update the WordPress core, and this pretty much fixed the issue. I would recommend you still look further into this issue. Other using outdated versions of wordpress may not be getting the latest update of the Yoast Plugin.
