• Good afternoon. I cannot send changes to the feed. The feed is updated every hour (I try to update it manually) – the data feed does not change. I am using a caching plugin but clearing the cache or disabling the plugin while the feed is updating does not help

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out. Can you share the plugins debug.log with us so we can have a look at your feed and the last updates?

Instructions on how to retrieve the debug.log can be found here:

Thank you for responding to help me. The problem is that the data in the feed is not updating.

Are you absolutely sure nothing is still being cached? Make sure to also flush the caching of the caching plugin you are using and that of your browser.

    (@vitalik27)

Yes, I am absolutely sure that the entire cache is cleared and caching plugins are disabled when updating the feed. There is an update according to the log files, but in fact the feed is not updated. An example of this product is out of stock on the site, but in the feed it is allegedly available https://prnt.sc/uop1jx and https://prnt.sc/uop1q0

When we check the product example you gave (productID 19763) in Google’s structured data testing tool we get this: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/?hl=en#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w-secret.com%2Fproduct%2Fw-secret-003-chernyj-komplekt-nizhnego-belja%2F%3Fattribute_pa_size%3Dsize-s

The structured data on the landing page of your website also shows “inStock”, see:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ktj6rgdfi98pg7/inStock.png?dl=0

So it seems the product feed and your website both show this variation as being Instock?

    (@vitalik27)

Good afternoon. Structured data has not yet been configured correctly on my part – setting it up is already the next step after solving the problem with the feed. I do not understand why you are looking at structured data if there is an example, namely the information on the site and the product is not available there. Is the information taken from the site or structured data when generating a feed?

Please look at the site, and not at third-party items that are only indirectly related to the issue of generating a feed.

    Thread Starter vitalik27

    (@vitalik27)

I will try to explain the problem again. The feed is updated based on the logs, but in fact, new information is not updated in it. An example is already the third day, the product (productID 19763) is out of stock https://prnt.sc/uop1q0, but in the feed it is allegedly still in stock https://prnt.sc/uop1jx. thanks for the help

I do not understand why you are looking at structured data

Because the structured data is representing how the availability data will look like in your backend. The “out of stock” that is showing on the front-end itself can also be coming from another plugin for example.

And more importantly: Google will also check your structured data. Data found in there will prevail over the data in your feed and thus your products will be disapproved because of this.

    Thread Starter vitalik27

    (@vitalik27)

Can you please tell me your plugin generates a feed from the woocomerce base or from structured data? I know the problems that can be with Google ads, but the feed is not updated for either Google ads or Facebook ads

What I am trying to say here is that both the structured data AND our plugin is getting the data from your database and both show the product as being “in stock” so probably this product is “in stock” in your database somehow.

Can you show us a screenshot of the product edit page of the above variation, specifically showing the stock status of it?

    Thread Starter vitalik27

    (@vitalik27)

Structured data is not working correctly now, as I wrote above. I provide a screen for the variation of the product that we are discussing https://prnt.sc/upbqrz. thanks

In order to get the feed to show “out of stock” you need to make sure the “Allow backorders?” drop-down is set to “Do not allow”. Like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/wazpn2ll41rmu3l/do-not-allow-1.png?dl=0

We have tried ourselves, in the feed that will than result to this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/u4ipetfyoljy0zk/do-not-allow-2.png?dl=0

    Hope this helps?

    Thread Starter vitalik27

    (@vitalik27)

Yes, I have this parameter as you recommend. In drop-down is set to “Do not allow”.
    but that doesn’t work
