    Hi,

None of the plugins I am using shows translations in my language (Vietnamese).
Loco Translate does show my language’s translations for those plugins.
I have already switched my site language to Vietnamese (my WordPress admin is showing Vietnamese words).
I don’t know what is wrong.

    Thank you for you help.

After I posted my question, I tried adding new translations for some other plugins. It turned out they DO shows their translations.

So I don’t have problems with all plugins. Only the plugins I mentioned in the question above happen to have problems.

I will try to find out what’s wrong with them specifically.

If you can, please post some resources that I can use. Otherwise, I will try to find them myself in the forum’s stickied posts.

    Thank you.

It’s well documented that this plugin only works with themes and plugins set up in a standard way. https://localise.biz/help/wordpress/translate-plugin/faqs#1

Chances are if something isn’t working, it’s not compatible and there’s probably no fix. If you want to know if a specific plugin is compatible, please post a download link to it.

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for reply.

Can you please check this plugin for me?: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-facebook-login.1.1.2.zip

    Thank you.

This plugin declares its text domain as facebook-login, but then uses “fbl”.

I recommend you manually copy fbl-en_US.po (which is a wrongly named template file) to your language, e.g. fbl-vi.po then edit and save that through Loco.

    Thanks for you reply.

I’m sorry I don’t quite understand what you said.

Did you mean I should rename fbl-en_US.po to fbl-vi.po, and then copy and paste it to the languages folder of the plugin?

I did that but didn’t see my language in Loco. I clicked “New language” and get a new .po file, tried to edit and save it but it didn’t work.

You’re right, it doesn’t work. I just tried it. It’s because the plugin doesn’t declare the right text domain. It’s incompatible

Thank you very much. I will try another method for this plugin.

He is right, my fault. I just fixed the textdomain for Facebook login plugin.

    Thanks for the update Damian.

I’ve added your plugin to my database of localisation configs for version 2.0 of Loco Translate. https://github.com/loco/wp-bundles/blob/master/data/wordpress/plugins/wp-facebook-login/loco.xml
