[Resolved] No toolbar in visual editor on Chrome, Firefox, or Safari

  • Since installing the new WP I’m unable to use the visual editor toolbar in Chrome, Firefox or Safari. It does show up in IE, but it is buggy at best.

Can someone let me know if there is something I can do to be able to use the toolbar once again.

    Thanks.

  • First try clearing your browser cache.

If not that, deactivate all plugins.

If not that, switch to default theme.

If not that, you likely had a failed auto-update, using an FTP client such as FileZilla or your host provided file manager upload a fresh copy of only the /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ folders and run site. Do not overwrite root folder files or /wp-content/ folder.

    Report back.

Thanks Seacoast. It was the failed auto-update in this case. Luckily my hosting company was cool and took care of it for me.

    Cheers and thanks again.
