    Hey all,

I am using Olsen Light as a theme and OptimizePress 2.0 as a plugin as well as Yoast SEO as my #1 tool für SEO.

I´ve seen both in several tutorials as well in screenshots that one is capable of changing the title tag and the meta tag. However, when i hover over to SEO –> Titles & Metas I do not see any of the standard layouts. All I see is a notification saying “You can change the title & the description of your Home Page by changing your HomePage” as well as “You can edit the title and the description of your home page by changing your blog post”.

    So no direct editing possible…

    Any ideas?

  • Are you trying to edit individual pages or posts’ title and meta tags?
If so, you need to go into that page or post’s editing screen (via the Pages and Posts menus, not the SEO menu), where you should find the Yoast SEO box underneath the visual editor.

If you are trying to set up the template for the title and meta tags (e.g. what the title tag is for a category archive), you can find those under SEO > Titles & Metas and the Post Types/Taxonomies/Archives tabs.

Hey doubleedesign, thx for your response.

Here´s the thing: I have a landing page that is created with optimizePress, see http://www.doktor-conversion.de

this was created with OptimizePress since this is a conversion focused page.

Besides, I have a blog in which I´m teaching and sharing online marketing tipps (& clearly in order to boost my SEO). These blog posts are written and created in wordpress with the standard wordpress editor.

I can use the Yoast SEO tool to change both the title tag and the meta description for the post but not for the homepage (not a post but a page).

Do you get what i mean?

plus: When I look at the “edit page” part of the website, one would usually see a few wordpress settings to choose from.

    Nope, not on my end…

I read an article about it just now https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-title-metas-empty-tabs/page/2?replies=33 but don´t understand the solution…
