Support » Fixing WordPress » (no title) for all posts in admin backend

  • Resolved hedge

I’ve seen this issue the first time around WP 3.2.
In my backend I can’t see any of the post-titles. (no title) or nothing at all is shown instead.
    You can see
    an example here

Does anyone have a clue what it could be?

And are there Post titles on the front end of your site?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks for your help. It was a theme-related issue.
In my theme’s functions.php I tinkered with the title by using a filter on it.

I’m having this problem with a DB I’ve moved from one server to another. On the new server everything comes up “(no title)”, but without any author/category/date info.

This happens with a stock wordpress install on the new server or with an exact copy of the old server’s DB. Old server is PHP 5.3 while new one is PHP 5.2, but otherwise I can’t think of any differences. I’ve tried a half-dozen different export/import methods to make sure it wasn’t just phpmyadmin being funky.
