    Hello. Neighboring posts show No.Thumbnail. Statistics work. Earlier, the entries created are displayed in the widget of popular posts. I didn’t do anything with the site, only the plugins were updated. Tell me where to look.
    Here is a piece of code where the widget stands:
    This is where the thumbnail is not displayed:

    <li>
    <a href="//........./.........../" title="…............" target="_self"><img src="//................./wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/public/images/no_thumb.jpg" width="300" height="300" alt=".................." class="wpp-thumbnail wpp_def_noPath wpp_first_image" /></a>
    <a href="//................./............../" title="..............." class="wpp-post-title" target="_self">...................</a>
    <span class="wpp-meta post-stats"><span class="wpp-views">338 views</span></span>
    </li>

    This is where the thumbnail is displayed:

    <a href="//....../......../" title=".............." target="_self"><img src="//........../wp-content/uploads/wordpress-popular-posts/14230-first_image-300x300.jpg" width="300" height="300" alt="........." class="wpp-thumbnail wpp_cached_thumb wpp_first_image" />
    <a href="....,......." title=".........." class="wpp-post-title" target="_self">................</a>
    <span class="wpp-meta post-stats"><span class="wpp-views">328 views</span></span>
    </li>

    Hi @alisa2009,

    This: wpp_def_noPath wpp_first_image

    Apparently WPP was unable to find the first in-content image from these posts which is the reason why you’re seeing the default thumbnail instead.

    As to what’s causing this, honestly no idea. WPP hasn’t seen an official update in over 4 months (at the time of writing), if this is a recent problem then you’ll need to recall what were the changes you made to your site that could have caused this.

    Are you using a CDN to host your images?

    The meaning of this. I upload pictures to my photo hosting site. Then I insert the links into the blog post. Each photo will get a link in the post
     <a href="//......../?v=2019-03-06_qthxcz4zsy5zkhr8rzja45b2m.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> <img src = "// .... ....... / thumbs / 2019-03 / 06 / qthxcz4zsy5zkhr8rzja45b2m.jpg "/> </a>
    I use the plugin for 3-4 years. There has never been a problem, except for the one that we solved with the database with you.
    Last time there was an update of plug-ins, unfortunately I can’t tell what. There were no changes on the site. An adult site, so I don’t post a link here.

    Well, since you’re not sure which change has affected the plugin the only way I can help you out is by seeing some code and do some debugging.

    Do you have a staging/development version of your website that you could use to do some debugging?

    There is no development version. Then tell me what to do? Separate page? demo? FTP access for the site? I do not quite understand what needs to be done.

    I sent you a message in the mail.

    For future readers: it was an issue with malformed image URLs. I just added a patch for that in my local version of the plugin which will be included with the next official release of the plugin.

    The problem is solved. Thanks to the developer. I have a blog of 25,000 visitors per day. The plugin is so good that I cannot refuse it. The developer was given access to the site and he fixed it. Thanks again.

    Hello. So the same problem appeared on another site. I wrote to you on the mail. Or tell me what to do.
